Deltares
Gennady Markelov is a highly experienced scientific software engineer with a strong background in fluid dynamics and numerical analysis. Currently employed at Deltares since November 2022, Gennady focuses on the development of DFlow-FM (D-HYDRO) and Kratos software using C++, Fortran, and MPI. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer at Wright Brothers Flight Technology, where C++ and OpenGL were utilized, and Engineer Specialist I positions at Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam B.V. and Royal IHC, specializing in modeling fluid flows with tools such as Siemens Star-CCM+ and ANSYS Fluent. Gennady's extensive career also includes significant contributions as a Senior Aerospace Engineer at ESA/ESTEC and ATG Europe, where advanced numerical analysis and CFD methodologies were employed. Gennady holds a Master’s degree in Hydroaerodynamics from Novosibirsk State Technical University.
