Selin Kocalar

Selin Kocalar is a Co-Founder and COO at Delve (YC W24) since November 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at Stanford University's Bintu Lab, focusing on high-throughput screens of epigenetic regulators, and as a Researcher in the Feng Zhang Lab at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where Selin designed CRISPR-Cas gene editing technologies leading to a publication in Science. Additionally, Selin was the Lead Researcher for Genes in Space-9 at the International Space Station National Laboratory, validating cell-free biosensors and contributing as the first author on a publication in ACS Synthetic Biology. Participation in the International Science Summer Institute at the Weizmann Institute of Science involved computational characterization of cancers from RNA sequencing data. Selin founded and served as President of Woolly Wishes 501(c)(3), which donated handmade garments to Middle Eastern refugees. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with participation in programs at Y Combinator, Prod, and Z Fellows.
