Markus Sagen

Markus Sagen is a skilled professional with a strong background in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as a Founding ML Engineer and Data Scientist at dema.ai since March 2023, Markus previously contributed to Zaver as a Software Engineer, where the addition of Vipps as a payment option for the Norwegian market was achieved. At PELTARION, from September 2020 to October 2022, Markus worked as an AI Research Engineer in R&D, focusing on model implementation using various frameworks, while also engaging in customer projects. Academic contributions include a Master Thesis on enhancing large context QA models for multilingual NLP, along with teaching assistant roles at Uppsala University in machine learning and C++. Markus holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and a combined Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Engineering from Uppsala University, alongside initial training as an electrician.
