John McCammon

John McCammon is currently the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing at Dempsey Wood Civil. Prior to this position, John held the role of Regional Health and Safety Advisor at Chorus NZ Limited from October 2014 to September 2015. From January 2002 to October 2014, John was the Health & Safety Manager at Kilmurn PPS Ltd, where they reported directly to the Chief Executive. In their role at Kilmurn PPS Ltd, John was responsible for preparing company health and safety strategies and developing internal policy, as well as maintaining company third party accreditation (OH&S 18001). John also developed company operational safe systems of work and led a team of Health & Safety Advisors in office and field environments. Additionally, John supported clients with production and implementation of management safety strategy, and served as a college lecturer for British Safety Council ‘Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment’ to Senior Management of college staff.

John McCammon has a MSSc in Occupational Safety and Health from Queen's University Belfast, and has completed various health and safety courses from NEBOSH up to 2017.
