Sara Michelsen

Sara Michelsen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sara is currently the Head of Research & Data Ops at Denominator since July 2021. Prior to that, they co-founded Casa Colo in January 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Sara worked at The Org, where they held the positions of VP of Research and Head of Research, focusing on making organizations more transparent. The Org was backed by Sequoia and Founders Fund.

Before joining The Org, Sara worked as US Ops at QVARTZ from February 2018 to March 2019. Sara also served as the Global Corporate Director at Vistle Distribution Group from March 2015 to December 2016.

From 2012 to 2015, Sara held multiple roles at Pacific Power Generation, including Corporate Director of the Haytrac Power & Gas Joint Venture, Corporate Development Director, and Legal Counsel.

Prior to that, Sara worked as a Regulation Attorney at AMV Autorregulador del Mercado de Valores from August 2012 to November 2012. Sara also gained experience as a Legal Intern at Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio from July 2011 to December 2011 and as a Junior Associate at Medina Muñoz & Abogados Asociados from January 2011 to July 2011.

Sara Michelsen completed their education in a chronological order. Sara first attended the International Baccalaureate, completing their studies in 2007. Sara then enrolled at the Universidad de Los Andes, where they pursued a Doctor of Law - JD degree from 2007 to 2012. Following that, they obtained a postgraduate degree in Financial Legislation from the same university between 2012 and 2013, specializing in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law. In October 2017, Sara Michelsen obtained a certification in Digital Strategy and Action from edX.
