Richard Macklin

Richard is Global Vice Chair serving on the firm’s global board and Global Client Partner, leading the firm’s drive to partner meaningfully with clients to create value by working more smartly together.

Richard has a long career of leadership roles, driving many of the firm’s most strategic changes over the years. He teaches frequently on market strategy serves on the firm’s global board as well as a number of external advisory and charitable boards.

He is now based in London but has worked for the firm in New York , Brussels and Paris, where he qualified as an avocat and headed the office for several years.

An M&A specialist, Richard co-headed the firm’s UKMEA M&A Division before taking on his global roles.

Described by Legal Business as a "corporate heavyweight", he acts for some of the world's largest multinational groups and funds in the development of their domestic and international strategies.
