Niels Plate

Niels Plate has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and positions. Niels began their career at KBA, where they completed a dual study program. Niels then worked as a scientific employee at imug before joining KK Irisu as a manager. In 2005, they became the Technical Director at Korea Illies Engineering Co. Ltd., where they focused on the paper industry and machine tool business. Niels then moved to C. Illies Trading Shanghai, serving as the Regional Director for South China and later as the Managing Director. In these roles, they oversaw business development, strategy, human resources, and managed key accounts and projects. Niels joined Sirona Dental Systems in 2014 as the General Manager before being promoted to the General Manager and Country Leader at Dentsply Sirona in 2016. In 2021, they became the Group Vice President - Head of Digital Devices & Equipment. Niels is currently the Managing Director (Geschäftsführer) of Sirona Dental Systems GmbH.

Niels Plate completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at DHBW Mannheim from 1989 to 1992. Niels then pursued a degree in Economics at Leibniz Universität Hannover, where they obtained their Dipl.-Oec. from 1992 to 1996.
