Annka O'Brien

Annka O'Brien is a highly experienced engineer with a strong background in the transit and railway industry. Annka most recently served as the Chief Engineer at Denver Transit Operators, LLC, starting in September 2022. Previously, they held the position of Deputy Chief Engineer at the same company from March 2020 to January 2023. Prior to their time at Denver Transit Operators, Annka O'Brien worked as the Deputy General Manager at Bombardier from March 2018 to January 2019. Before that, they held various roles at DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit), including Chief Engineer from September 2016 to March 2018 and Manager of Right of Way from June 2012 to September 2016. Annka began their career at BNSF Railway, where they served as Manager of Track Measurement from June 2011 to June 2012, Manager of Maintenance Planning and Programs from November 2007 to June 2011, and Project Engineer from January 2006 to November 2007.

Annka O'Brien obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005.
