Curtis Barker

Curtis Barker has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Curtis is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at the Florida Department of Elder Affairs since August 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief of Financial Operations at the Florida Department of Management Services and also worked as a Retirement Financial Administrator in the same department from June 2022 to October 2022. Before that, they were the Accounting Director at the State of Florida - Lottery from January 2021 to June 2022. Curtis also gained experience working at PNC as a Vice President from June 2017 to January 2021 and at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Assistant Vice President from January 2016 to June 2017. Curtis started their career at KPMG US as a Senior Associate from November 2014 to December 2015. Curtis also worked at Harris Corporation as a Lead Senior Auditor from April 2013 to November 2014 and as a Senior Accountant from March 2011 to April 2013. Curtis began their professional journey at the Florida Office of the Auditor General as a Senior Auditor from March 2010 to March 2011, and they worked as a Professional Accountant Specialist at the Florida Department of Financial Services from October 2008 to March 2010.

Curtis Barker attended Florida State University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. In September 2010, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the state of Florida.
