Michael Reed

Michael Reed has over 15 years of experience in various leadership roles in the energy and technology sectors. Michael served as the Chief Engineer and Director at the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office, where they managed a $30 billion portfolio of loans and loan guarantees for innovative energy projects. Prior to that, they were the Program Manager and Chief Technology Officer for Water Power Technologies at the U.S. Department of Energy. Reed has also held executive positions at SENTECH, Inc. and Columbia Research Corporation, where they led clean energy technologies and military programs divisions respectively.

Michael Reed has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy from The Johns Hopkins University. Michael also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. In addition, they hold certifications including Renewable Energy Professional and Unlimited; Third Assistant Engineer Steam, Motor, or Gas Turbine; Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch from the U.S. Coast Guard.
