Jodi Smith

Jodi Smith is an experienced Employment Specialist with a strong background in workforce development, currently serving at the Department of Labor and Regulation since January 2013. In this role, Jodi Smith builds relationships with local businesses, assists in job order creation, and addresses business needs to enhance job opportunities. Jodi also enrolls job seekers in Title 1 and 3 programs by developing employment plans and conducting objective assessments to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. Prior to this, Jodi worked as a Staffing Specialist at ManpowerGroup from July 2011 to January 2013, where responsibilities included job coaching for associates and maintaining communication with businesses regarding staffing requirements. Jodi holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of South Dakota, completed in 1997, and graduated from Yankton Senior High School in 1990.
