Alison McDonald

Alison McDonald is a dedicated Program Officer at the U.S. Department of State in the Office of Academic Exchanges, with experience in public diplomacy and international projects. Prior to this role, Alison served as a Program Officer at Meridian International Center, overseeing financial and administrative implementation of various initiatives. Additional experience includes an internship in the Office of International Relations at the Smithsonian Institution, sourcing and research at Global LT, and as an English Language Consultant in Spain. Alison holds an MSc in International Relations from The University of Edinburgh and a B.A. in International/Global Studies from the University of Michigan, complemented by a study abroad program in Spanish Language & Culture at Universidad de Salamanca.
