Mary Sturgis is an experienced Foreign Service Officer and Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State since February 2022. With a diverse background in governance, Mary has held roles such as Press and Principals Engagement at the Summit of the Americas and Program Officer for Governance at the National Democratic Institute. Prior internships include positions at the U.S. Department of Defense as a Boren Fellow, where proficiency in Portuguese was achieved, and research roles at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the U.S. Department of State.
