Jason Hartz is a skilled attorney with extensive experience in environmental and commercial litigation. Currently serving as an attorney at the U.S. Department of the Interior since November 2020, Hartz previously held the position of Assistant Attorney General with the State of Alaska Department of Law from July 2016 to November 2020. Prior experience includes working as an associate at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and as an attorney at the Department of the Interior from October 2007 to January 2014. Hartz began their legal career as a law clerk at the Alaska Supreme Court. Hartz holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oregon School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from Gonzaga University.
