Christelle Taochy

R&D molecular biology scientist at Depixus

Christelle Taochy has a wealth of experience in research and development in the molecular biology field. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Doctorant in Physiologie Moléculaire at Montpellier SupAgro, where they studied the nitrogen nutrition of plants under stress salin. Her approaches included physiologie, biologie cellulaire, and biologie moléculaire. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Chargée de Projet Scientifique at Inra - Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (France), where they studied the mechanisms of meiosis and apoximie, as well as the mechanisms of the cell cycle and chromosome dynamics. Her approaches included biologie cellulaire and biologie moléculaire. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Chargée de Projet Scientifique at The University of Queensland, where they applied biotechnological RNA interference combined with nanoparticles and studied the role of RNA interference in plant defense against the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum. Her approaches included physiologie and biologie moléculaire. Finally, from 2018 to present, they have worked as an R&D Molecular Biology Scientist at Depixus (formerly PicoSeq). Her role involves utilizing Depixus' proprietary SIMDEQ technology platform to quantify and detect single RNA or DNA molecules as well as epigenetic modifications located on these molecules.

Christelle Taochy obtained their Doctorat (PhD) in Physiologie moleculaire et biologie intégrative des plantes from L'Institut Agro Montpellier between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned their Master 2 (M2) in Biologie fonctuionnelle des plantes from the University of Montpellier between 2007 and 2009. Her educational journey began in 2005 when they obtained their Diplôme d'étude universitaire générale in Sciences de la vie et de la terre from Université de La Réunion.
