Yanling Wang

Yanling Wang's work experience includes being a Principal Scientist at DermTech since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Hologic, Inc. as a Scientist III from August 2020 to July 2021, and as a Scientist II from March 2019 to August 2020. Before joining Hologic, Inc., Yanling worked at Millennium Health as a Scientist in Microbial Genetics from October 2016 to January 2019. Yanling also held the position of Damon Runyon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California-Los Angeles from April 2011 to September 2016. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2005 to 2010, and as a Postgraduate Researcher at The University of Hong Kong from 2001 to 2004.

Yanling Wang completed their Bachelor of Science degree in General Microbiology at Hua Zhong Agricultural University in Wuhan, China from 1995 to 1999. Yanling then pursued their Master of Philosophy in Environmental Microbiology at The University of Hong Kong from 2001 to 2004. After that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2005 to 2011, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology with a focus on beneficial host-microbe associations. Lastly, they completed their postdoctoral studies in Microbiology, specifically on the human gut microbiome, at UCLA from 2011 to 2016.
