Mathew Pottinger

Mathew Pottinger is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in embedded software and hardware engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Descartes Systems Group since August 2023, Mathew also founded and leads One Giant Leap Ltd., a company dedicated to manufacturing power meters for water sports enthusiasts. Previous roles include Senior Production Engineer at Flightcell International Limited and spokesperson for The Opportunities Party, where Mathew focused on tax, Universal Basic Income, and small business issues. Earlier career highlights feature positions at Flightcell International Limited and High Performance Sport New Zealand, where Mathew contributed expertise in hardware and software engineering. Mathew holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
