Sandra Hanington

Sandra Hanington, M.S.C. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sandra is currently a Corporate Director at Descartes Systems Group and has been in this role since 2022. Sandra also holds a similar position at University of Toronto, where they became a Member of the Governing Council in 2020. Prior to these roles, Sandra was a Corporate Director at Extendicare starting from 2014. Sandra is known for their activism and community involvement as a Board Director and Co-Founder of Jack.org, an organization dedicated to mental health support. Sandra also served as a Corporate Director at Aimia Inc from 2020 to 2022 and held the position of President and CEO at the Royal Canadian Mint from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, they served as a Former Board Director at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC / SCHL) from 2014 to 2015 and as an Executive Vice President at BMO Financial Group from 1999 to 2011.

Sandra Hanington, M.S.C. completed the Directors Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2012. Sandra also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution. In addition, Sandra obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
