Francois Laberge

Francois Laberge has extensive experience in software development and technology leadership roles. Francois is currently working at Descript as a Software professional. Prior to that, they worked at absurd:joy as the VP of R&D.

From 2017 to 2022, Francois worked at Bose Corporation as a Software Architect, where they were involved in various projects including concept development of future products, AR/VR hardware/software prototyping, and the application of ML to classic DSP domains.

Earlier in their career, Francois held the position of Robot SDK/Middleware Architect at Jibo, Inc. where they contributed to the development of the world's first Social Robot. Francois also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Brightcove, CTO at Brass Monkey, Inc., Founder at Emotely, and CTO at 3 Birds Marketing LLC.

Additionally, Francois gained experience as a Senior Web Developer at Super U Holdings and as the owner of Endergen. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in software development, hardware testing, UX improvement, release management, and mentoring.

Francois Laberge attended the DigiPen Institute of Technology, where they pursued and successfully completed a Diploma in Video Game Programming. During their time there, they focused on studying the art and science of 2D and 3D video game programming.
