Marc Vercruysse

Marc Vercruysse has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and audit sectors. Marc currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked in Fluxys as part of the International Department from March 2021 to April 2021. Marc also held the position of Head of Audit at Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG from May 2018 to February 2021. Marc worked at Fluxys previously, where they served as the Group Controlling Manager from January 2014 to May 2018, and as an Audit Manager from March 2009 to December 2013. Marc started their career at KPMG Advisory in June 2004 as a Senior Manager in internal audit, compliance, and risk services until March 2009. Marc's earliest work experience includes being a Senior Manager in external audit services at KPMG Bedrijfsrevisoren from September 1997 to June 2004, where they handled external audit activities and various financial projects.

Marc Vercruysse completed their education with a Master's degree in Handelsingenieur from Solvay Business School - VUB, which they obtained between 1985 and 1990. Prior to that, they attended Koninklijk Atheneum Laeken (Brussels) from 1979 to 1985, where they focused on Mathematics. Marc then pursued a degree in External accounting & auditing at IBR-IRE from 1999 to 2003, earning the qualification of Bedrijfsrevisor. Additionally, Marc obtained a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA-CCSA) certification in Internal auditing at IIA Belgium, completing the program from 2004 to 2006.
