Eric Thiel

Eric "ET" Thiel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and industries. Most recently, they served as the Vice President-Global Solutions Engineering at Acquia, a leading provider of enterprise Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions. Prior to that, Eric held leadership positions at WP Engine, where they were the Vice President of Sales Engineering/Solutions Architects and later the Senior Director of Sales Engineering. Eric "ET" also worked at Datapipe as the Vice President of Solution Architects, leading a global team, and at IBM as a Sales Engineer Lead for SoftLayer, focusing on cloud infrastructure-as-a-service solutions. Eric's experience also includes roles at VMware as the Director of Client Experience (Americas), at Rackspace as the Director of Sales Engineering, and at Rackspace's Intensive Hosting division as a Senior Sales Engineer and as the Manager of Sales Engineers. Eric "ET" has consistently driven growth, mobilized adoption of cloud solutions, and built and managed high-performing teams throughout their career.

Eric "ET" Thiel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS) from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Eric "ET" attended the university from 1992 to 1996.
