Brian Mulhearn

Brian brings 30 plus years experience in the electronics industry. He has been with DesignLinx since November of 2012 in the role of Director, Engineering Solutions, with a concentration is in Embedded Processing, ARM and MicroBlaze. Prior to this he spent 7 years with Xilinx Inc, as an Embedded Specialist assisting customers with embedded processor designs using the PPC 440 and MicroBlaze Soft Processor. As an Embedded Specialist FAE Manager, Brian defined and orchestrated the efforts of Xilinx’ regional sales teams, FAEs and specialists to collaborate on the best solutions for his customers. He solicited customer feedback and initiated the role as liaison to the factory to drive better solutions for processors, tools and IP, and solutions incorporating products such as Wind River vxWorks, and Open-source Linux, for example. Brian designed content and set schedule for embedded training programs and conducted field technical marketing activities for Xilinx’ embedded processing solution.

Prior to joining Xilinx, Brian was employed as an FAE at Altera and Mentor Graphics. He was an ASIC and FPGA designer with General Instruments and while at Oryx, a NJ based start-up, he obtained a patent for a programmable delay cross bar switch.

Brian earned his Master of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ.
