Pooja Kanipakam

Pooja Kanipakam has a diverse range of work experience. Pooja started their career as an Intern in the Mergers & Acquisitions department at Earnst & Young in 2008. Pooja then worked as a Marketing Intern in the Worldwide Planning Team at Ogilvy & Mather in 2009.

In 2010, Pooja joined California First National Bancorp as a National Account Manager in the Commercial Finance Division. Pooja focused on building B2B partnerships and successfully negotiated and closed more than $2MM in approved revenue. During their time there, they also gained a strong working knowledge of the financial industry.

Pooja then moved on to work at Chute in 2013, where they initially served as a Business Development manager and later became a Project Manager. Their responsibilities included managing projects and developing partnerships.

In 2015, Pooja joined Gusto (formerly ZenPayroll) as a Partner Account Manager, where they managed partnerships with strategic accounts.

Pooja joined DesignMap in 2016 as a UX Producer and later became a Senior Producer, UX. Currently, Pooja serves as the Director of Engagement Management, where they focus on evolving client engagements into an end-to-end approach and supporting the wellbeing of the design team. Pooja enjoys starting new initiatives and guiding team efforts to achieve successful outcomes for customers. Their most recent role at DesignMap started in April 2020.

Pooja Kanipakam completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts in Science & Management from Claremont McKenna College between 2006 and 2010. Pooja then attended Canadian International School for their high school education from 2000 to 2006. Pooja also obtained additional certifications in Data Analytics - SQL, Excel, Tableau from General Assembly in 2016, and completed a Product Management program at Product School in 2018. Pooja also obtained certifications in Project Management and Software Estimation from Construx Software in 2015.
