Nader al-Naji

Nader Al-Naji has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2012, they interned at D. E. Shaw & Co. as a Quantitative Strategies intern. The following year, they worked as a Quantitative Software Engineer at The D. E. Shaw Group. In 2014, they joined Google as a Software Engineer. Nader then ventured into entrepreneurship and founded Basis in 2017, where they served as the Founder & CEO. At Basis, they raised over $133M in funding and built a team of 14 people with diverse backgrounds. Currently, Nader is the Founder of DeSo Foundation, a blockchain platform aiming to decentralize social media. DeSo has gained popularity and is listed on Coinbase.

Nader Al-Naji attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 2006 to 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they pursued a Computer Science B. S. E. degree with an Applied Math Certificate at Princeton University.
