Franco Zalavari Palma

Franco Zalavari Palma is currently working as Engineering Team Lead and Desarrollador Full Stack at Destacame since 2021. Prior to this, they were an Advisor at Overleaf (Writelatex Limited) from 2017. In 2019, Franco worked as an Investigador at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, where they designed and implemented a VANET protocol of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) that was better than the state of the art in various aspects related to emergency scenarios. Franco also worked as an Ayudante de Sistemas Distribuidos, designing laboratories to introduce and evaluate the knowledge acquired by students during the Distributed Systems course. In the same year, they were a Front-End Developer at Clustea, where they designed and implemented the user interface using the Django framework and supported Back-end tasks using Natural Language Processing, Word Embeddings, and Clustering techniques. Franco also placed second in the XXVII Software Fair of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM). Additionally, in 2019 Franco held a position as an Estudiante en prácticas at Scotiabank, where they fulfilled the role of Information Security Analyst, incorporating an automation system in the generation of Cybersecurity reports, built with webscraping and the Django framework. Franco also worked with the software Password Authority and QAradar.

Franco Zalavari Palma has an education history that includes studying Ingeniería Civil informática at Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria from 2015 to 2020, obtaining a Piloto Privado certification at Club Aéreo del Personal del Ejército in 2014, and attending Colegio San Juan Evangelista from 2001 to 2012.
