Product Lifecycle Management Specialist at Detection Technology

Mika Mäenpää has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Mika began their career at Datex, Division of Instrumentarium Corporation in 1994 as a Summer Trainee and Thesis Worker. Mika then joined Nokia in 1995 and held various roles such as SW Designer, Senior SW Designer, Product Test Manager, Technical Account Manager, SW Project Manager, SW Integration Manager, R&D Project Manager/R&D Program Manager, Senior Manager of New Development, Product Manager, and finally as the Head of Configuration Planning. Mika worked at Nokia until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they took a Parental Leave at At Home. In 2009, they re-joined Nokia as the Head of Portfolio Planning and Analysis, and later became the Senior Manager of Investment and Capacity Planning. In 2011, they left Nokia and started working at the University of Jyväskylä as a Trainee for the Cemis Project, where they provided measurement support for a research study. Mika also worked as a Student during this time. In 2013, Mika joined Polar Electro Oy as a Master Thesis Project participant and later became a Customer Support Specialist. In 2017, they joined Fennovoima as a Configuration Engineer, and later became a Configuration Management Specialist and finally a Configuration Manager. Their most recent work experience is as a Product Lifecycle Management Specialist at Detection Technology starting in 2022.

Mika Mäenpää completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Exercise Physiology from the University of Jyväskylä from 2011 to 2014. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Raahe Institute of Computer Engineering between 1991 and 1995. From 1987 to 1990, Mika attended the Vocational School of Kurikka and earned a Technician diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, Mika took a Nuclear Safety and Waste Management Course at LUT University, earning 9 study credits, although the specific start and end years are not provided.
