Shana Murphy

Shana Murphy is an experienced engineer currently serving as a VIP SIT RPR/AVSS Specialist and Systems Capability and Enabler Innovation Engineer at General Motors, where responsibilities include system integration engineering focused on interior and exterior lighting as part of the vision and visibility ART team. Murphy's background includes roles as a Professional Shop Assistant at Detroit Golf Club and an Academic Tutor at Detroit Mercy Student Success Center. During time at the University of Detroit Mercy, Shana was also a student athlete on the women's golf team. Previous internship experiences include software engineering roles at Ford Motor Company, where contributions included developing design documents and coding for the PDO Vehicle Reservation application, as well as at FANUC America Corporation, where custom software for FANUC Robots was created. Shana has also held leadership and service roles earlier in career, including Director at TGA Premier Junior Golf and waitress at Fox Run Assisted Living Community. Education was completed at the University of Detroit Mercy, spanning from 2017 to 2022.
