Philip Rivera

Philip Rivera is an experienced leader in volunteer services and corporate event management, currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Services at the Detroit Institute of Arts since June 2022, where oversight includes approximately 600 volunteers across various service committees. Previously, Philip held the same position at Michigan Medicine and the Detroit Institute of Arts, where strategies for volunteer engagement were developed and metrics for volunteer satisfaction were evaluated. Additional experience includes managing volunteer programs at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and corporate meeting planning for BCD Travel with Volkswagen Group of America. Philip's educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from Wayne State University and a BS in Accounting from Oakland University.
