Laura Alasadi

Laura Alasadi is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in disability advocacy, job training, and community support. Currently involved with DARC as part of the Disability CITY TASK FORCE and Operation Able, Laura focuses on enhancing employability and providing critical resources for individuals with disabilities. Laura has held multiple roles with the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Agency, including peer support specialist and independent facilitator, emphasizing personal growth and mental health management. Additionally, Laura participates in various training sessions related to trauma-informed care, domestic violence, and human trafficking advocacy while mentoring youth through the Avengers Youth Mentoring Organization. An educational background in business management and social work supports Laura's commitment to community empowerment and systemic improvement.
