Axel Eckmann

Axel Eckmann currently serves as a People Lead at Deutsche Telekom since August 2023. Previously, Axel held the position of Digital Solutions Manager at Continental from May 2019 to August 2023 and was the Head of Innovation Optoelectronics at Heraeus Noblelight GmbH from December 2016 to May 2019. Additionally, Axel worked as a Projektleiter Entwicklung at Heraeus from September 2014 to December 2016 and served as an Innovation Manager at ACTIMAGE from September 2013 to August 2014. Axel's academic background includes a PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from The University of Manchester, where research focused on Graphene and other 2D materials. Prior to this, Axel earned a Master's degree in Nanotechnology from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and an Engineer's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO.
