Aaron Ketter

VP, Mid-Continent & South Texas Business Unit at Devon Energy

Aaron Ketter is currently the VP of the Mid-Continent & South Texas Business Unit at Devon Energy. Aaron has been with Devon Energy since May of 2003, and has held the title of Senior Deepwater Exploration Engineer since August of 2009.

Ketter has extensive experience in deepwater engineering, having planned and executed projects in both the Gulf of Mexico and South China Sea. Aaron also has significant operations experience, having worked on the Kaskida 291 #1 well in conjunction with BP, as well as the Cascade #3 and #4 development project in conjunction with Petrobras. In addition, Ketter was responsible for Devon Energy’s first deepwater exploration well in the South China Sea, Bai Yan 6-1-1, as well as their first operated lower tertiary well in the Gulf of Mexico, Chuck #1.

Aaron Ketter has a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. Aaron also has a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in finance, economics, and international business from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Cape Town.

Aaron Ketter reports to Clay Gaspar, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. They work with John Raines - Vice President, Delaware Basin BU, Trey Lowe - VP & CTO, and Cathy Lebsack - Vice President, Land.
