The DeVries Manager/Sr. Manager of Research & Analytics will partner with a growing roster of clients by turning data and analytics into actionable insights that inform and inspire DeVries’ winning campaigns. We combine individual skills and talents with best-in-class research, analytics, and measurement methods to bridge the science of research with the art of communication every day.

This position will provide strategic, analytical and intellectually curious candidates the opportunity to learn and manage all aspects of market research for the public relations and communications industry. The position reports to the local EVP of Global Creative Intelligence. The Manager of Research & Analytics works closely with account teams and clients to provide guidance in the creation of data-driven strategies and tactics.

  • Manage primary research projects (quantitative and qualitative) and secondary research with support from senior staff
  • Analyzing media coverage and consumer conversations to direct and evaluate marketing and communication programs
  • Manage all phases of complex and varied market research projects including:
  • Development of research and measurement proposals
  • Development of quantitative and qualitative research instruments
  • Budget and vendor management
  • Analysis and reporting of research findings
  • Presentation of results
  • Provide strategic consumer and business insights – not “data dumps” – to account teams and new business teams, to include:
  • Analysis and interpretation of primary and secondary
  • Distilling findings that are insightful and actionable and meet client objectives
  • Develop strong relationships with client and account teams. This includes regular and proactive one-on-one interactions with local office account teams and direct correspondence with account teams and clients across the world
  • Understand clients’ objectives and ensure research and insights deliverables meet those needs
  • Participate in the development of new and incremental business, including:
  • Relationship building with clients and account teams, business lead development
  • Managing research needs during the development of new business presentations
  • Maintaining a strong level of expertise in industry-leading PR measurement and analytic approaches
  • Managing and providing mentorship, coaching and guidance to junior team members

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in client-facing marketing analytics mandatory
  • 6+ years of experience performing marketing analytics in an agency, research provider or consulting firm
  • Experience in multi-channel analytics, including digital and web
  • Expertise and/or familiarity with multiple data sources such as digital, POS, CRM, panel, etc.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to PR staff
  • Experience in a cross-functional team environment within agency and clients
  • Consulting background considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with solid foundation in statistical techniques.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills
  • Strong presentation skills

Salary: $90,000-120,000

DeVries has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
