Job description

DeVries Global is looking for a Senior AE with excellent knowledge of the lifestyle landscape and its key influencers to join our consumer team. The primary focus of the role is on generating earned coverage for the client’s business through strategic media engagement and execution of media-facing activations. This person will serve as one of the primary day-to-day client contacts, managing the appropriate implementation on a variety of projects on a timely, deadline-focused basis.  This role will be based in our New York office, hybrid.

What you’ll do:

  • Actively engage with media to drive quality editorial coverage in national consumer, lifestyle, and news outlets.
  • Serve as key day-to-day client contact
  • Help create long-term plans and program recommendations for clients
  • Provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans
  • Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of relevant client media and continue to build new media relationships
  • Qualify media inquiries
  • Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
  • Manage or supervise the logistics of events (e.g.: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)
  • Manage external vendors
  • Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
  • Develop media relations materials, proposals, releases, and other client and press materials
  • Account for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials
  • Contribute to the development of strategic client plans
  • Develop work plan of junior team members
  • Project and account  management
  • Contribute to media relations strategy
  • Develop client presentations

Bachelor’s Degree

Professional Experience

3+ years related professional experience

 Salary range: $55,000 - $80,000

DeVries has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
