Caitlin Mehra has a diverse work experience in the field of literacy and education. Caitlin currently holds the position of VP, Literacy & Learning at Hoot Reading, starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded Dewey in December 2020 and worked as a Literacy Trainer and Consultant at the Jewish Coalition For Literacy from March 2020. Caitlin has also served as the Chief Executive Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer at LitLife, Inc., starting in December 2021 and July 2021 respectively. Caitlin has extensive experience as an Instructional Coach at Dallas Independent School District from August 2015 to February 2018. Caitlin has also worked as a Literacy Specialist at Enseña Ecuador in May 2015 and as a Quality Advisor at Dallas Afterschool from August 2013 to June 2015. Caitlin's career in education began as a Bilingual Education Teacher at Teach for America Dallas from August 2009 to August 2011.

Caitlin Mehra completed their bachelor's degree in Political Science (Public Policy) and Spanish at the University of Florida from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, they had the opportunity to study abroad at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they focused on social and political issues as well as Chilean conversation and culture. Caitlin later pursued a Master of Arts degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Denver - Josef Korbel School of International Studies from 2011 to 2013.
