João Battistella Nadas

João Battistella Nadas is a backend engineer at Dexter Energy Services. João has previously worked as a product owner at Sendcloud from February 2021 to February 2022. As the product owner for the platform domain, they were responsible for the product decisions involving two teams: DevOps and Infrastructure. Their highly technical background and easy-going personality facilitated the communication between non-specialist stakeholders and the engineers on the teams. Their responsibilities as a product owner consisted of determining on which projects each team would work and when, crafting the strategic plan for the domain, having the final say on the prioritization of projects, managing resources and engineers, and adjusting to changing requirements. João also acted as a strong communicator within the teams, making sure they had a strong team culture and everything was running as it should.

João Battistella Nadas has a PhD in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Glasgow. João also has a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering from the same school. In addition, they participated in a Non-degree Exchange Program in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
