Taylor Slouka is a Research and Development Bio-technician II at Diazyme Laboratories, Inc. since September 2023. Previously, Taylor served as an R&D Microbiologist I Intern at Hardy Diagnostics from June to November 2022 and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from March 2020 to July 2022. Notable contributions include co-authoring a publication in the Journal of Visualized Experiments and conducting cell-free protein synthesis reactions while enhancing scientific communication skills. Taylor also facilitated chemistry courses as a Learning Assistant and conducted summer research in the Oza Lab through the Frost Undergraduate Research Program. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned between 2019 and 2023, after graduating from El Toro High School in June 2019.
