Nate Shapiro MD, MPH has extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine and research. Nate began their career in 2000 at Beth Israel Lahey Health, where they hold the position of Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair of EM Research. In this role, Nate excels in translational research and scientific innovations, particularly in implementing new technologies into clinical practice. Nate has published over 200 original articles and secured multiple grants from notable funders, including the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Defense, and industry sponsors. In 2019, Nate joined Diagnostic Robotics as Director of Medical Strategy, providing medical direction and strategic insights for an AI-based Israeli Healthcare Company as they expand into the US ecosystem. Nate Shapiro MD, MPH received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies from Penn State University from 1988 to 1992. Nate then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they attended Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Clinical Effectiveness.
