Daniel Irving

Daniel Irving is an established Beamline Scientist at Diamond Light Source since September 2021, specializing in XPDF beamline operations, upgrades, and conducting research in aqueous structure and functional materials. Concurrently, Daniel serves as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Southampton, leveraging expertise from a previously completed PhD in Chemistry at the same institution to enhance data collection with a total scattering instrument. Previous experience includes a PhD researcher role at the University of Southampton and various positions in customer service and team collaboration during earlier studies at Cardiff University and secondary education. Daniel holds both a PhD in Chemistry and a Master's degree in Chemistry, alongside A-Levels in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths.
