Jose Brandao-Neto

Jose Brandao-Neto is a seasoned Senior Operations Manager at Diamond Light Source, with extensive experience in Project Management and Engineering R&D, specifically in drug discovery collaborations between academia and industry. Since 2006, Jose has managed the i04-1 research facility, overseeing high-value hardware and software projects from conception to delivery using agile methodologies. Jose successfully designed and led the £12M beamline I04-1 project, coordinating a multidisciplinary team to meet tight deadlines and budget constraints. Additionally, Jose serves as a Committee Member for the UK Mathematics Trust's Enrichment Committee, providing strategic advice to the Executive Board. Prior experience includes Operations Manager roles at Astex Pharmaceuticals and Lab. Nacional de Luz Sincrotron in Brazil.
