Richard Taylor

Richard Taylor is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background spanning several roles in systems administration and architecture. Currently serving as a Linux Systems Administrator at Diamond Light Source since April 2022, Richard previously held the position of Platform Architect at Vodafone from May 2017 to April 2022, after an extensive tenure as a Director at Jomajo Limited, where technical and business leadership was provided to Vodafone from May 2010 to May 2017. Richard’s career began at Thames Valley Eggs in 1985, progressing from a trainee Cobol programmer to a Support Analyst. Additional experience includes a Systems Consultant role at Infinitum Consulting and a Support Analyst position at Vodafone, showcasing a strong foundation in Unix System Administration, Shell Scripting, and Application Support, among other technical skills. Richard holds educational qualifications from The University of Manchester and King Alfreds School.
