David Brown, Ph.D., PMP

David Brown, Ph.D., PMP has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. David is currently serving as the VP of Pharmaceutical Development at Diamond Therapeutics, where they provide strategic leadership and consulting services. Prior to this, they worked as a Global Program Lead at Treximo and as a Senior Director of Research & Development at Rubicon Research Canada Ltd.

From 2017 to 2019, David served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Impopharma Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of OBG Pharmaceuticals Ltd. During this time, they played a key role in the pre-commercialization of a lead nasal spray project, identified external partners for pMDI development programs, and successfully obtained a Health Canada R&D License for Cannabis. David also supported due diligence activities that led to the sale of the organization.

Before their time at Impopharma, David held various senior roles at Teva Canada from 2008 to 2017, including Director of R&D Project/Program Management and Director of Pharmaceutical Development. David was responsible for managing the formulation and process development of multiple solid dose projects for global markets.

Prior to Teva Canada, David worked at Novopharm Ltd. from 2004 to 2008, where they served as a Senior Manager and Manager in Pharmaceutical Development. David led teams of scientists and technologists in the development of solid dose products and played a significant role in upgrading the technological capability of the development laboratories.

David began their career at Patheon in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Scientist/Manager and later as a Project Manager in Pharmaceutical Development Services. During their time at Patheon, they gained expertise in formulation development.

David Brown, Ph.D., PMP has an extensive education history. David obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutics from the University of London. Additionally, they hold a B.Pharm (Hons) degree in Pharmacy from the same institution.
