David Meek

Vice President Human Resources at Diamondback Energy

David Meek has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. David started their career in 1998 as an HR Coordinator and Assistant HR Manager at Neiman Marcus. After that, they worked as a Recruiter at Brink's Home Security from 2000 to 2003.

In 2003, they joined CSC as an HR Generalist, where they oversaw HR functions for two locations and supported 335 employees. David then worked as an Employee Relations Specialist, managing employee relations service delivery for a team of 20 specialists overseeing 90k employees globally. David later became a Senior Human Resources Manager, overseeing HR functions for the Life and Annuities Division, and then a Director of Human Resources, where they directed employee compensation plans, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, and compliance for up to 1600 employees in two separate business units at CSC.

After that, Meek joined Concho in 2011 as a Manager of Talent Acquisition and Compensation, responsible for talent acquisition and compensation activities. David was later promoted to a Manager of Human Resources, where they managed daily HR functions and led a team of up to 5 direct reports. Finally, they served as the Director of Human Resources, leading a department of up to 24 HR professionals and overseeing various HR initiatives and implementations.

In 2021, Meek joined American Energy Management as a Vice President of Human Resources and continued in this role until 2022 when they moved to Permian Resources, where they continued to serve as a Vice President of Human Resources. Currently, they are a Vice President of Human Resources at Diamondback Energy starting from 2023.

David Meek attended Baylor University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Following this, they enrolled at Amberton University from 2000 to 2003 and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Human Resources/Training and Development.
