Con Mcgarry

Con Mcgarry is the Director of Operations at Dictate IT. Con has over 20 years of experience in management and consulting, with a focus on healthcare policy and process.

Con started their career at 1180 Management, where they provided expert insight and advice to support the implementation of healthcare policy and process in new ventures being established to support UK wide COVID testing. Con then moved to Dictate IT Ltd, where they took on a multifaceted executive leadership role managing UK and offshore teams totalling 700+ employees in the medical technology SaaS market. In this role, Con was responsible for producing the annual operational forecasting report, budget and strategy for achievement. Con also worked horizontally across multiple functions to balance sales forecast demand vs. project/development resource requirements.

Under Con's leadership, the team at Dictate IT achieved month on month improvement of production turnaround time and quality through implementation of short interval control. Additionally, they restructured offshore business to improve collaboration between verticals and reduce time to facilitate change leading to £250k+ cost improvement. Finally, they remodelled UK operational structure, processes and procedures to facilitate operational scale allowing for group business integration and mergers generating £250k+ cost improvement.

Thanks to Con's expertise and dedication, Dictate IT has been able to maintain operational excellence across the organisation and advise on key operational, product and customer insights to align performance with strategy.

Con Mcgarry has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Alliance Manchester Business School, a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Westminster, and certification from Cerner Corporation in Cerner Command Language (CCL) - Certified Discern Explorer 1 Trainer, Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert - Excel 2010, Firebrand Training in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and APM Group in PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner.
