Sergio Vera

Sergio Vera has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and academia. Sergio began their career at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile as an Assistant Professor in March 2001. Sergio later became an Associate Professor in June 2017 and then assumed the role of Head of the Department of Construction Engineering and Management in April 2018. In 2015, Sergio founded and became a partner of HEATConcrete, an initiative focused on concrete solutions. In 2018, they joined Dictuc as the Technical Director of the Sustainable Building Engineering unit.

Sergio Vera holds a PhD in Building Engineering from Concordia University, which they completed in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2001. Sergio also holds a degree as a Civil Engineer from the same university.
