Yunjing Xu

Yunjing Xu is a highly skilled professional in the field of computer science and engineering, currently serving as Principal Engineer/Director and Head of Simulation at DiDi since June 2021, focusing on data-driven simulation for self-driving vehicles. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Engineering Manager and Head of Ground Truth at Cruise from June 2018 to June 2021, and as Tech Lead for Infrastructure at Smyte, which was acquired by Twitter, from November 2015 to June 2018. Yunjing Xu has also contributed as a Senior Software Engineer at Square, working on data science and infrastructure, and as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where advanced degrees were earned including a Ph.D. and Master's in Computer Science & Engineering. Earlier roles include internships at Google, AT&T Labs, and IBM China Research Laboratory. Yunjing Xu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Nanjing University.
