Steve Mazur

Business Development Director, Government at Digi International

Steve Mazur is the Business Development Director for Government at Digi International. Steve has over 25 years of experience in the satellite communications industry and has held various senior management positions at MobiApps, Inc, Stellar Satellite Communications, and Orbcomm.

Mazur was responsible for the commercialization of MobiApps' satellite technology, a 5+ year effort developing an ASIC and associated transceiver design. Steve also initiated and negotiated a technology license to a leading wireless product company, which resulted in their development of an innovative dual-mode transceiver.

At Stellar Satellite Communications, Mazur led the team that developed the world’s first two-way Ka-band VSAT system. The system was successfully deployed by Hughes Network Systems and won the prestigious National Space Club award in 2002.

Mazur began their career at Orbcomm in 1991 as a Sr. Director of System Development. Steve was responsible for the design and development of Orbcomm’s second generation satellite constellation and ground system. The system was launched in 2000 and is currently providing global AIS coverage for maritime tracking and other applications.

Steve Mazur has a MSEE from The George Washington University in Communications and a BSEE from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Steve also has a BS from Furman University in Physics.

They are on a team with Terry Schneider - SVP, Supply Chain Management, Ron Singh - Sales Director, EMEA Distribution Sales, and Josh Jaeger - Director of Sales, WDS. Steve Mazur reports to Ron Konezny, President & CEO.
