Dwayne Tabannah has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of risk management and internal audit. Dwayne is currently serving as the Head of Risk and Fraud Management at Digicel Group since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Manager Quality Control- AMU & Capital Markets at Scotiabank from February 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining Scotiabank, Dwayne worked at the Ministry of Finance, Jamaica, where they served as a Business Analyst - Internal Audit Corporate Shared Services from April 2020 to January 2021, and also as an Audit Coordinator from December 2019 to January 2021.

Dwayne previously worked as a Group Senior Internal Auditor at ATL Appliance Traders Ltd from January 2018 to November 2019. Prior to that, they were responsible for managing the internal audit and risk functions as an Internal Auditor at Universal Service Fund, reporting to the Audit Committee, from October 2014 to January 2018.

Their earlier experience includes working as an Internal Auditor at Passport, Immigration & Citizenship Agency, Jamaica from June 2013 to September 2014, and as an Assistant Internal Auditor at the Ministry of Education, Jamaica from April 2008 to May 2013.

Throughout their career, Dwayne has demonstrated strong skills in evaluating internal controls, conducting audits, and providing recommendations to improve operational procedures and efficiency. Dwayne has also been involved in risk management and governance, providing evidence-based opinions on the adequacy and effectiveness of organizations' systems and controls.

Dwayne Tabannah holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) from The University of the West Indies, Mona. Dwayne also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting from the same university. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Information Technology (IT) Auditing from the Management Institute of National Development (MIND). Dwayne recently completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Corporate & Commercial Law from The University of the West Indies, Mona. Dwayne Tabannah is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), certified by The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. Dwayne has also obtained various additional certifications in financial analysis, business strategy, data analytics, and other relevant areas from LinkedIn.
