Yen-Ying Kung has worked in the engineering field since 2009. In 2009, they were a student intern at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). From 2011 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Engineer at 友達光電股份有限公司, where they improved 8K TV pixel transmittance and invented a new pixel electrode design which showed 2% higher cell transmittance. YEN-YING also improved cell transmittance by defining liquid crystal material elastic parameters (K) which had higher transmittance and steeper Transmittance-Voltage curves. Since 2022, they have been a Materials Engineer at DigiLens Inc.
Yen-Ying Kung obtained a Bachelor's degree in Applied Chemistry from National Chiao Tung University between 2005 and 2009. YEN-YING then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Applied Chemistry from the same university, which they completed in 2011. In 2021, they began attending West Valley College to pursue a degree in Computer Information Systems and Engineering.
