Yuyu Li has a diverse work experience. Yuyu began their career in 2011 as a Visiting Student at the Institute of Physics & Beijing National Lab for Condensed Matter Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2012, they became a Teaching Assistant at UMass Boston. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Teaching Fellow PY 105/106: Physics I/II, a Teaching Assistant for EC 591: Photonics Lab, a Laboratory Assistant for Precision Measurement Laboratory, and a Laboratory Technician for Optoelectronic Processing Facility Cleanroom at Boston University. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Optical Materials Engineer at DigiLens Inc.

Yuyu Li's education history began in 2008 when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Shandong University. They then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Physics from UMass Boston between 2012 and 2014. Following this, they earned a Master of Arts and Sciences - MA in Physics from Boston University between 2014 and 2016. Lastly, they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boston University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
