Dan Keelean

Dan Keelean has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Dan is currently working at Digital Consultants LLC as the Vice President of Operations since January 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Portfolio Manager at the same company from January 2019 to January 2021. Dan was responsible for delivering management consulting and information technology solutions to large federal agencies.

Before joining Digital Consultants LLC, Dan worked at Loch Harbour Group as a Program Manager from August 2017 to December 2018. In this role, they led business development and capture efforts within the Department of Homeland Security and the homeland security enterprise space.

From August 2008 to July 2017, Dan worked at the Homeland Security Studies and Analysis Institute (HSSAI) as a Division Manager (Acting) and Principal Analyst. Dan was responsible for project management, including developing and managing project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures.

Dan's early career includes roles at BAE Systems, NYU Stern School of Business, Congressman Dave Camp's office, National Defense Council Foundation, and Northrop Grumman Corporation. Dan held various positions, including Senior Manager, Department Coordinator, District Director, Research Assistant, and System Administrator. In these roles, they gained experience in areas such as subject matter expertise, office operations, budget development, staff supervision, constituent case management, and research and writing.

Dan Keelean has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations from American University. Dan also holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Government and Nonprofit Management from New York University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in December 2011 from the Project Management Institute. Dan is also approved for Entry On Duty/Suitability by the Department of Homeland Security, and has a current Top Secret Security Clearance, obtained in October 2005. Dan Keelean has also completed the Incident Command System (ICS) IS-00100 through IS-00400, IS-00700, and IS-00800 courses offered by the FEMA Emergency Management Institute (EMI).
